The purposes of Connection are:
To facilitate Celebrate Recovery of Lapeer County through The Center for Discipleship;
To directly address homeless situations, and to assist and support The Refuge operations;
To make disciples of all peoples by partnering with the Jesus Film Project and the Issachar Initiative;
To participate in intercessory prayer according to The Connecter, Intercessors for America;
To promote the study and increased knowledge of scripture through the Berean Order;
To bring the gospel to the masses through Water-Shed Revival;
To build healthy communities and individuals through the Challenge Core, Five Disciplines;
To be ready for change.
The Connection is simply a bridge to hope, built on the solid foundation of biblical truth, reinforced with the girders which are repentance, redemption, restitution, reserection, rebirth, restoration, recovery, renewal, refinement, righteousness, grace and sanctification.
The Connection is not a physical church, nor church assembly, although typical church functions are conducted through its operation. Namely, part of Celebrate Recovery is a church-like assembly of people, with communion (meal), worship, testamony and prayer.

Do you have hurts, habits, or hang-ups?... The real question is who doesn't! Our struggles occur when we try to fill the voids and meet the needs in our lives by some means other than GOD. Some of us eat too much, spend too much, have sexual addictions, gamble, escape to the computer, drink too much or take drugs to numb our pain and try to face lifes realities.
No matter what your hurts, habits or hang-ups there is hope! At Celebrate Recovery you will find many men and women with struggles similar to your own. We provide a safe gathering place where you are not judged, where your confidentiality is assured, and regardless of your hurts, habits, or hang-ups you will be loved in spite of it... Let your recovery begin!
What Is Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a 12-step, Christ centered recovery ministry for everyone struggling with hurts, habits or hang-ups, together we find hope and healing in the power of Jesus Christ! Progressing through the 12 biblically-based steps and Eight Recovery Principles, we discover our personal, loving and forgiving "Higher Power"..Jesus Christ, the one and only true "Higher Power". By focusing on God's healing power as we explore and address those broken places inside of us, we begin to grow spiritually and are freed from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors.This life-changing process brings about new-found peace, serenity, and joy, drawing us into ever-stronger personal relationships with God and others.
How Does Celebrate Recovery Work
The large group meeting, (male and female), begins with praise and worship... followed by teaching and a review of the 12 steps and Eight Recovery Principles. Many times we will have a guest speaker address the topic that night or give a testimonial... after the large group is adjourned we break into small groups and discuss the topic that evening and share our hurts, habits or hang-ups (it is not a requirement to share, only if you desire to do so). The small groups are gender specific.. men meet with men, ladies meet with ladies. It should be noted that what you say in the group, what you hear in the group, stays in the group, confidentially is an absolute requirement.
